At Lothian, we’re immensely proud of our Bus Driving team who, time and time again, help to demonstrate why Lothian is one of the leading bus operators in the UK and that’s why they’re paid £15.55 per hour once qualified.
As a Trainee Bus Driver, you’ll receive all the necessary training, from gaining your provisional licence to becoming fully qualified, all of which is fully funded by Lothian, letting you drive your career forward.
Trainee driver must have:
- A full UK driving licence, which you’ve held for more than one year and no more than 6 penalty points.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Paid training while you work towards gaining your PCV Bus licence (Cat D) – all costs covered by Lothian! (Training pay rate £12 p/h – first 5 weeks)
- Starting hourly rates £15.55p/h once qualified.
- Guaranteed 39 hour working week.
- Paid overtime with enhanced hourly rates.
