We are looking for a barista to join our in-house catering team at Shandwick Coffee Hub on a permanent basis. The working hours are 30 hours per week Monday to Friday, however some weekend work may also be required.

If you have a passion for coffee, delivering an outstanding level of customer service and contributing to a great atmosphere, then this is the role for you!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Advise customers by presenting and explaining the coffee menu; answering questions.
• Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
• Involvement in all aspects of service; setting-up, serving customers and cleaning down.
• Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
• Keep equipment operational by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organisation standards and sanitation regulations.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.

Requirements:

• Previous barista training and experience (essential).
• A great personality and excellent teamwork in a social environment.
• Availability to work shifts, including weekends as per business needs.
• A positive, happy, professional and co-operative attitude.
